Choosing a battery for the Mitsubishi Bravo
The Bravo was built from 1991 to 1999, before start-stop was common, so most examples run a conventional maintenance-free battery. Age matters more than mileage on these cars: cables, terminals and the alternator are worth checking at the same visit.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Mitsubishi needs from its battery
Mitsubishi mostly uses JIS flooded batteries. The Attrage and Mirage take NS40, the Lancer and ASX usually NS60, and the Pajero, Montero Sport and L200 generally 80D26L. Check the label, as sizes changed across generations.
Some Mitsubishi engines idle unevenly for a short while after the battery has been disconnected, until the engine computer relearns. A few minutes of idling with the AC off, then on, normally settles it.
