Choosing a battery for the Geely Riddara
The Riddara has been on sale since 2024 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a EFB battery matched to the factory specification.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Geely needs from its battery
Most Geely models take DIN batteries, usually H5 or H6 on the Emgrand and Coolray and H6 or H7 on the larger SUVs. Turbo models with stop/start generally need EFB or AGM. The technician checks the label or the VIN.
The newer Geelys have a battery sensor on the negative terminal and a telematics unit that stays awake for the phone app. If the car is left for a couple of weeks at the airport, expect the battery to be low on your return.

What battery does the Geely Riddara use?
For the Riddara we normally fit a EFB battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Riddara battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Riddara battery in a basement car park?

Does the Riddara need the battery registered after replacement?
