Choosing a battery for the Geely SC5-RV
The SC5-RV was offered for the 2011 model year. We match the battery to the label on the unit already in the car.
Compact cars use smaller batteries with less reserve, so short trips with the AC running drain them faster. The good news is that replacement is quick and the batteries are easy to stock.
What a Geely needs from its battery
Most Geely models take DIN batteries, usually H5 or H6 on the Emgrand and Coolray and H6 or H7 on the larger SUVs. Turbo models with stop/start generally need EFB or AGM. The technician checks the label or the VIN.
The newer Geelys have a battery sensor on the negative terminal and a telematics unit that stays awake for the phone app. If the car is left for a couple of weeks at the airport, expect the battery to be low on your return.

What battery does the Geely SC5-RV use?
