Choosing a battery for the XPeng P7i

The P7i has been on sale since 2023 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a AGM battery matched to the factory specification.

As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.

What a XPeng needs from its battery

Most EVs use a compact 12V AGM or flooded auxiliary battery, smaller than the one in a petrol car because it never cranks an engine. Some newer models use a 12V lithium unit that is specific to the car. The technician confirms the type from the VIN before dispatch.

An EV with a flat 12V battery can usually be woken with a booster on the 12V terminals, but it must never be used to jump start another car. The high-voltage pack is left alone during a 12V replacement.
