Choosing a battery for the Volvo XC60
The XC60 has been on sale since 2008 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a AGM battery matched to the factory specification.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Volvo needs from its battery
Most modern Volvos take an AGM battery, usually H7 or H8, with H6 on the smaller models. Recent mild hybrids add a 48V battery to the 12V system. The rating is confirmed from the label or the VIN.
Many stop/start Volvos have a small support battery in addition to the main one, and a worn support battery is a frequent reason stop/start stops working. On the current XC90 and several related models the main battery is in the boot.
