Choosing a battery for the Renault 5 E-Tech
The 5 E-Tech has been on sale since 2024 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a maintenance-free flooded battery matched to the factory specification.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Renault needs from its battery
Most Renaults take a DIN battery in H5 or H6, flooded on the simpler models and EFB where stop/start is fitted. The Koleos, which shares parts with Nissan, can differ, so the label is checked.
Some older Renault radios lock after the battery is disconnected and ask for a four-digit code. The one-touch windows may also need resetting by holding each switch at the top for a few seconds.
Send a photo of the label on your current battery, or the registration card, and we will confirm the exact specification before the technician leaves.

Renault 5 E-Tech battery questions
What battery does the Renault 5 E-Tech use?
For the 5 E-Tech we normally fit a maintenance-free flooded battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a 5 E-Tech battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my 5 E-Tech battery in a basement car park?
Yes. Our service vehicles fit standard basement height limits. Share the level and bay number and let security know a technician is coming.
Does the 5 E-Tech need the battery registered after replacement?
This model does not normally need battery registration. The technician carries a diagnostic tool and checks for stored battery faults either way.
Battery trouble right now?
Send your location and car model. A technician is usually with you in 20 to 35 minutes.
No call-out surprises. You get the quote before we move.
