Choosing a battery for the Mahindra Quanto
The Quanto ran from 2012 to 2018. Later cars in that range often have start-stop and need maintenance-free flooded, while earlier ones use a standard battery, so the model year decides what we bring.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Mahindra needs from its battery
Depending on where the car was built, it may take a JIS battery such as NS40 or NS60, or a DIN size like H5. Most use a standard flooded battery. Send a photo of the label on the current battery and the technician will match it.
Terminal layout and post size are the usual catch on less common makes. A battery with the right capacity but reversed terminals will not connect without stretching the leads, which is not something to accept.

What battery does the Mahindra Quanto use?
For the Quanto we normally fit a maintenance-free flooded battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Quanto battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Quanto battery in a basement car park?

Does the Quanto need the battery registered after replacement?
