Choosing a battery for the Jeep Renegade
The Renegade has been on sale since 2014 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a AGM battery matched to the factory specification.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Jeep needs from its battery
Most recent Jeeps take an AGM battery in H6 or H7, and the Grand Cherokee can take H8. Older Wranglers generally use a BCI Group 34. The size depends on engine and year, so the label is checked.
Wranglers and Gladiators with engine stop-start have a small auxiliary battery beside the main one, and a fault in it can stop the car from starting even when the main battery is good. On the Grand Cherokee the battery is under the front passenger seat.

What battery does the Jeep Renegade use?
For the Renegade we normally fit a AGM battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Renegade battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Renegade battery in a basement car park?
Yes. Our service vehicles fit standard basement height limits. Share the level and bay number and let security know a technician is coming.
Does the Renegade need the battery registered after replacement?
This model does not normally need battery registration. The technician carries a diagnostic tool and checks for stored battery faults either way.
