Choosing a battery for the Isuzu Axiom
The Axiom was built from 2002 to 2004, before start-stop was common, so most examples run a conventional maintenance-free battery. Age matters more than mileage on these cars: cables, terminals and the alternator are worth checking at the same visit.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Isuzu needs from its battery
The D-Max and mu-X diesels need strong cranking power and usually take an 80D26L or N70 flooded battery. The light trucks use larger N-series batteries. Exact size depends on the model and year.
Many Isuzu trucks run a 24V system from two 12V batteries wired in series. They should be replaced as a matched pair, because one new battery beside an old one is dragged down quickly.
