Choosing a battery for the Infiniti ESQ
The ESQ has been on sale since 2015 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a maintenance-free flooded battery matched to the factory specification.
Compact cars use smaller batteries with less reserve, so short trips with the AC running drain them faster. The good news is that replacement is quick and the batteries are easy to stock.
What a Infiniti needs from its battery
Most Infiniti models take JIS batteries. The QX80 and older QX56 share the high-capacity 80D26L class with the Patrol, and the saloons and smaller crossovers usually take 55D23L. Some later models differ, so the label or VIN is checked.
After the battery has been disconnected, some Infiniti models need the one-touch windows and idle speed relearned. It takes a few minutes and should be done before the technician leaves.
