Choosing a battery for the Haval Jolion
The Jolion has been on sale since 2021 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a EFB battery matched to the factory specification.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Haval needs from its battery
Most Haval petrol models take a DIN battery, usually H5 or H6, with EFB or AGM on stop/start versions. The H9 and other larger models can take H7. Hybrids use a smaller 12V battery alongside the hybrid pack.
On the hybrid Jolion and H6, a flat 12V battery stops the car from powering up even though the hybrid pack is charged. It is a 12V job only, and the high-voltage side is not touched.

What battery does the Haval Jolion use?
For the Jolion we normally fit a EFB battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Jolion battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
