Choosing a battery for the GMC Yukon
The Yukon has been on sale since 1991 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a AGM battery matched to the factory specification.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a GMC needs from its battery
Most recent GMC trucks and SUVs take an AGM battery in H7, with H6 on some engines and the smaller Terrain and Acadia. Older Yukon and Sierra models commonly use BCI Group 78 with side terminals.
Heavy-duty diesel Sierras usually run two batteries in parallel, and they should be replaced together. On older petrol trucks the side-terminal bolts corrode out of sight, which causes a no-start that looks like a dead battery.
Send a photo of the label on your current battery, or the registration card, and we will confirm the exact specification before the technician leaves.

GMC Yukon battery questions
What battery does the GMC Yukon use?
For the Yukon we normally fit a AGM battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Yukon battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Yukon battery in a basement car park?
Yes. Our service vehicles fit standard basement height limits. Share the level and bay number and let security know a technician is coming.
Does the Yukon need the battery registered after replacement?
This model does not normally need battery registration. The technician carries a diagnostic tool and checks for stored battery faults either way.
Battery trouble right now?
Send your location and car model. A technician is usually with you in 20 to 35 minutes.
No call-out surprises. You get the quote before we move.
