Choosing a battery for the BYD Yuan Up

The Yuan Up has been on sale since 2024 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a 12V lithium battery matched to the factory specification.

As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.

What a BYD needs from its battery

Many current BYD models use a 12V lithium iron phosphate battery made for the car, not a conventional lead-acid unit. Some models and older petrol cars take an ordinary DIN battery, usually H5 or H6. It has to be confirmed from the VIN, model by model.

Where the car has a 12V lithium battery, it cannot be replaced with a lead-acid one of the same size, and a flat one is normally recovered by boosting through the jump points. Send the model and year first so the right equipment comes out.
