Choosing a battery for the Audi A3
The A3 has been on sale since 1996 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a AGM battery matched to the factory specification.
Compact cars use smaller batteries with less reserve, so short trips with the AC running drain them faster. The good news is that replacement is quick and the batteries are easy to stock.

Most Audis from the last decade have stop/start and take an AGM battery, usually H7 or H8, with H6 on the smaller A3 and Q3. A few entry models use EFB. Capacity varies with engine and options, so the technician reads the label or the VIN first.
