Choosing a battery for the Zotye Cloud 100
The Cloud 100 ran from 2014 to 2019. Later cars in that range often have start-stop and need EFB, while earlier ones use a standard battery, so the model year decides what we bring.
Compact cars use smaller batteries with less reserve, so short trips with the AC running drain them faster. The good news is that replacement is quick and the batteries are easy to stock.
What a Zotye needs from its battery
Most Chinese cars sold here take DIN batteries, usually H5 or H6, with H7 on the larger SUVs. Turbo models with stop/start generally need EFB or AGM. Sizes change between model years, so the technician checks the label or the VIN first.
Always-on dashcams, telematics units and aftermarket accessories are a common cause of overnight drain on these cars. If a new battery goes flat within weeks, the car needs a drain test, not another battery.

What battery does the Zotye Cloud 100 use?
For the Cloud 100 we normally fit a EFB battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Cloud 100 battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Cloud 100 battery in a basement car park?
