Choosing a battery for the Renault Fluence
The Fluence ran from 2009 to 2019. Later cars in that range often have start-stop and need maintenance-free flooded, while earlier ones use a standard battery, so the model year decides what we bring.
Saloons like this are daily commuters, and stop-and-go traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road with the AC on full is hard on a battery. A test every spring catches a weak one before it strands you.
What a Renault needs from its battery
Most Renaults take a DIN battery in H5 or H6, flooded on the simpler models and EFB where stop/start is fitted. The Koleos, which shares parts with Nissan, can differ, so the label is checked.
Some older Renault radios lock after the battery is disconnected and ask for a four-digit code. The one-touch windows may also need resetting by holding each switch at the top for a few seconds.
Send a photo of the label on your current battery, or the registration card, and we will confirm the exact specification before the technician leaves.

Renault Fluence battery questions
What battery does the Renault Fluence use?
For the Fluence we normally fit a maintenance-free flooded battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Fluence battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Fluence battery in a basement car park?
Yes. Our service vehicles fit standard basement height limits. Share the level and bay number and let security know a technician is coming.
Does the Fluence need the battery registered after replacement?
This model does not normally need battery registration. The technician carries a diagnostic tool and checks for stored battery faults either way.
Battery trouble right now?
Send your location and car model. A technician is usually with you in 20 to 35 minutes.
No call-out surprises. You get the quote before we move.
