Choosing a battery for the Ram 1500 RHO

The 1500 RHO has been on sale since 2024 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a AGM battery matched to the factory specification.

As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.

What a Ram needs from its battery

The Ram 1500 usually takes an H7 or H8 battery, AGM on recent trucks. Older models commonly use BCI Group 65. Heavy-duty diesels need more cranking power and are specified separately.

Diesel 2500 and 3500 trucks run two batteries, one on each side of the engine bay, and both should be changed at the same time. Recent 1500s with eTorque also have a 48V mild hybrid pack, which is separate from the 12V battery and is not part of a roadside replacement.
