Choosing a battery for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
The Sprinter has been on sale since 1995 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a AGM battery matched to the factory specification.
As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.
What a Mercedes-Benz needs from its battery
Most modern Mercedes models take an AGM main battery, usually H7 or H8, with H6 on the smaller A-Class and CLA. Where it sits depends on the model. It can be under the bonnet, in the boot or under a seat.
Many models carry a second, much smaller auxiliary battery that supports stop/start and the gear selector. An "Auxiliary Battery Malfunction" message points at that unit, not the main battery, so the two should be tested separately.
