What a Genesis needs from its battery
Genesis is the luxury end of the Hyundai group, with air suspension, big screens and soft-close everything on the top models. All of it draws on a single 12V battery that has to cope with our heat.
Battery type and size
Most Genesis models take an AGM battery in a DIN size, usually H7 or H8. The exact rating depends on the engine, so the technician checks the label or the VIN before dispatch.
Worth knowing before fitting
On most Genesis saloons the battery is in the boot, with jump points under the bonnet. Use those points for a boost and leave the boot trim alone unless the battery is being replaced.
