Choosing a battery for the Ford Figo
The Figo has been on sale since 2010 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a AGM battery matched to the factory specification.
Compact cars use smaller batteries with less reserve, so short trips with the AC running drain them faster. The good news is that replacement is quick and the batteries are easy to stock.
What a Ford needs from its battery
Older Fords and many trucks use the BCI Group 65 battery. Most newer models take DIN sizes, usually H6 or H7, and EcoBoost cars with auto start-stop need AGM. The technician confirms from the label or the VIN.
