Choosing a battery for the Daewoo Sens
The Sens was built from 2002 to 2008, before start-stop was common, so most examples run a conventional maintenance-free battery. Age matters more than mileage on these cars: cables, terminals and the alternator are worth checking at the same visit.
Compact cars use smaller batteries with less reserve, so short trips with the AC running drain them faster. The good news is that replacement is quick and the batteries are easy to stock.
What a Daewoo needs from its battery
Korean cars use a mix of DIN and JIS sizes depending on model and year, commonly H5 or H6 on saloons and 80D26L on older SUVs. Most take a standard flooded battery. Versions with idle stop and go usually need AGM or EFB.
Because the same model can leave the factory with either a DIN or a JIS battery, the tray and clamp differ between cars that look the same. Newer models also have a battery sensor on the negative terminal that should be reconnected carefully.
Send a photo of the label on your current battery, or the registration card, and we will confirm the exact specification before the technician leaves.

Daewoo Sens battery questions
What battery does the Daewoo Sens use?
For the Sens we normally fit a maintenance-free flooded battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Sens battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Sens battery in a basement car park?
Yes. Our service vehicles fit standard basement height limits. Share the level and bay number and let security know a technician is coming.
Does the Sens need the battery registered after replacement?
This model does not normally need battery registration. The technician carries a diagnostic tool and checks for stored battery faults either way.
Battery trouble right now?
Send your location and car model. A technician is usually with you in 20 to 35 minutes.
No call-out surprises. You get the quote before we move.
