What a Dacia needs from its battery
Dacia models were designed for cooler roads than ours. In the UAE the battery sits in a hot engine bay for most of the year, so two to three years is a normal lifespan.
Battery type and size
European cars use DIN batteries with recessed terminals, most often H5 or H6, with H7 on larger engines. Stop/start versions usually need EFB or AGM. Older cars without stop/start run a standard flooded battery.
Worth knowing before fitting
The battery height matters on these cars because the hold-down clamp grips a lip at the base. Some older models also ask for a radio code after the battery has been disconnected, so it helps to have it to hand.
How a mobile fitting compares with the dealer or a roadside garage
You can get a battery in several places. This is what differs.

Dacia battery questions
What battery does a Dacia take?
Most Dacia models we see take EFB / AGM / maintenance-free flooded batteries in sizes such as H5 (L2), H6 (L3), H7 (L4). The exact one depends on the model, engine and year, so we confirm it from the label or the VIN before dispatch.
How long does a Dacia battery replacement take?
The technician usually arrives in 20 to 35 minutes and the fitting takes about 15 to 25 minutes, including a test of the charging system.
Which battery brand is best for a Dacia?
For a Dacia we usually suggest Varta, Bosch, FIAMM. The right pick depends on whether the car has start-stop and on your budget, and we explain the difference before you decide.
Do you replace Dacia batteries at night?
Yes. The mobile service runs 24 hours a day across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, including weekends and public holidays.
