Choosing a battery for the Chery Sweet
The Sweet ran from 2005 to 2012. Later cars in that range often have start-stop and need EFB, while earlier ones use a standard battery, so the model year decides what we bring.
Compact cars use smaller batteries with less reserve, so short trips with the AC running drain them faster. The good news is that replacement is quick and the batteries are easy to stock.
What a Chery needs from its battery
Most Chery models take a DIN battery, usually H5 on the Arrizo and Tiggo 4 and H6 on the Tiggo 7 and 8. Versions with stop/start generally need EFB or AGM. Specifications change with each facelift, so the label is checked.
A common complaint is a battery that drains after the car has been parked for a few days. Before blaming the battery, the technician tests it and measures the standing current, because a module that stays awake will flatten a new one just the same.

What battery does the Chery Sweet use?
For the Sweet we normally fit a EFB battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Sweet battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Sweet battery in a basement car park?

Does the Sweet need the battery registered after replacement?
