Choosing a battery for the Changan X5 Plus

The X5 Plus has been on sale since 2024 and is a current model. Cars of this age carry a lot of electronics, and most need a EFB battery matched to the factory specification.

As an SUV it carries a larger battery than a small hatchback, and the AC and rear climate work hard in UAE traffic. We bring the full-capacity unit, not a smaller one that happens to fit the tray.

What a Changan needs from its battery

Most Changan models take a DIN battery in H5 or H6, and the larger CS95 and UNI-K usually take H6 or H7. Stop/start versions generally need EFB or AGM. The exact size is confirmed from the label.

Many Changans let you switch stop/start off, but the car still charges the battery on a stop/start strategy. Downgrading to a standard flooded battery to save money usually costs a second battery within the year.
