Choosing a battery for the Cadillac STS
The STS ran from 2004 to 2012. Later cars in that range often have start-stop and need AGM, while earlier ones use a standard battery, so the model year decides what we bring.

What a Cadillac needs from its battery
Most modern Cadillacs take an AGM battery, usually H7 or H8, with H6 on the smaller saloons and crossovers. Ratings vary by engine, so the technician reads the label or checks the VIN.
Several Cadillac saloons keep the battery in the boot or under the rear seat, and those batteries are vented through a small tube to the outside. The replacement needs the same vent port, with the tube reconnected.
