Choosing a battery for the Bentley Arnage
The Arnage was built from 1999 to 2009, before start-stop was common, so most examples run a conventional maintenance-free battery. Age matters more than mileage on these cars: cables, terminals and the alternator are worth checking at the same visit.
Saloons like this are daily commuters, and stop-and-go traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road with the AC on full is hard on a battery. A test every spring catches a weak one before it strands you.
What a Bentley needs from its battery
Most modern Bentleys take large AGM batteries, usually H8 or H9. Capacity and layout differ between the Continental, Flying Spur and Bentayga, so the VIN is checked before a battery is sent.
Many Continental and Flying Spur models have two batteries in the boot, one for starting and one for the rest of the electrics. They age differently, so each is tested on its own. The factory battery conditioner socket is there to be used.

What battery does the Bentley Arnage use?
For the Arnage we normally fit a maintenance-free flooded battery. Capacity and size vary with engine and year, so we check the label on the old battery or the VIN before bringing the replacement.
How long does a Arnage battery last in the UAE?
In UAE heat a car battery typically lasts two to three years. Covered parking and a longer drive each week help it reach the upper end of that range.
Can you replace my Arnage battery in a basement car park?
